Can I get longer pipes using KAS?

Recommended Posts

I am using the Kerbal Attachment System and on a few occasions I want longer pipes to transfer fuel from a kethane refinery than it will allow. Can I use the Ground Pylon to support longer pipes? If so how? I have tried but with no success. If I can't use them what are the Ground Pylons useful for?

Many thanks

bring some ground pylons with extra pipe ends. 2 to connect pylon to refinery, another 2 to connect pylon to fuel tank.

Oooh so that is what they were for. Damn, I have learned something new. Thanks. :)

pylons are good as connection hubs for pipe ends or for connecting vehicles to the resource network. Use pipe ends for tanks and immobile structures. Radial ports/winch for vehicles. Pipe ends on vehicles can get buggy on occasion.

Many many thanks.

Now the comment about KAS pumps got me thinking I was missing something. What I do is connect the various ships to a fuel tank that is attached a Kethane refinery and then use the TAC Fuel Balancer to set that fuel tank to Transfer out so all the tanks on the connected ships fill up when the refinery is running. I did see the 'Pump from here' option on the pipe ends but don't really use it. Is there a better way to move fuel about using the KAS pipes that I am missing?
