Why are posts always in italics?

Title says it all. Posts are in italics, so actually using italics does nothing. Is there any reason for this or is it out of your guys' control?

I see quotes in italics, but all other text on the forums are in standard font. This is written in italics, too, but this is not. If that's not the case for you then I imagine the culprit is not the forums but your user settings.

Im using chrome, i tried the settings for chrome but couldn't find anything about italics, only about fonts. I could change the font but not whether it was italics or not. If it is my user settings then how do i change them?

Also, text in signatures and anywhere else are not in italics, only in posts. Heres a screenshot of this thread: (click it for fullscreen if its hard to see)SS30doz.png

If you have any plugins installed, try starting Chrome with those disabled? It almost looks as if some script is hooking into the forum's css files

Plugins? are those extensions? if so they are disabled except for google drive.

I'm thinking there might be something funny going on with your fonts. Hum... If you bring up the dev console in Chrome with Ctrl+Shift+C, and mouse over an affected area, does it have anything in the right-hand side of the dev console mentioning italics at all?

Also, does this affect any other websites?

Wow that is confusing stuff. Couldn't find Anything to do with italics, but im not even sure i got to the correct area.... my brain hurts now

Try to wipe the cache and reload (using CTRL+F5), that will delete all the preloaded images, CSS stylesheets, javascript files and like everything that is related to the site, to download a fresh version. Maybe that will help.

With Chrome, on any forum page here, press F12. Right-click on the italicized text and click Inspect element. There is a frame on the right that has a bunch of tabs. Click on Computed, and there should be some properties about fonts. Could you copy/paste those here?
