Launching from different Locations

Once you hit Launch in the VAB/SPH a Little Popup Comes up, asking you if your want to Launch from the Pad on KSC2 (for a Rocket) or just outside the Spaceplane-Hangar (for a plane) so you have to taxi down the Runway... or even on the Island Runway.

Dont know how the game works this anyway but there must be soem Kind of coordinated for a starting Position.

So maybe this is even possible with a mod.

That is not what I am asking about.

I would like to have the option to taxi my Plane from the SPH to the end of the runway once I press Launch.

An Addition to that would be to Launch rockets from KSC2.

The Kerbtown plugin did this a when I last checked, default you can launch VAB vehicles from the runway and SPH vehicles from the pad if you want. Additionally you can place new launch sites but that was a little tricky and error prone, at least for me. Then again the launch site I was placing was this...

I probably deserved the crash to desktop bug that thing frequently caused...

I think I'd like actual proper taxiways before this though. It sucks going off-road when taxiing back after landing on the runway.

I honestly don't get this. Launching from a completely other location, all right, there could be a little more challenge to it, because you wouldn't likely be on the equator any more. But what is the purpose of driving (on purpose I won't use taxiing there) your plane from the SPH to the runway. That will just take pointless time and effort, and you'll just launch from the same place in the end.

If only regex would make a version of KSC switcher that works without RSS. (cough, cough) I like it because it makes sense that there would be multiple launch sites all over Kerbin.

Different launch sites might make it easier to launch to a higher inclination or to a polar orbit. Taxiing is just for if you want to be a little more realistic. I assume that would be optional.
