A couple of gameplay questions

Recommended Posts

Ahh, okay well if you want to change the game a bit with mods, that is cool. Unfortunately I don't have experience with those.

Perhaps if you are now down to a few specific questions about MechJeb, you might get more specific help on the MJ thread.

I personally don't use MJ's autopilot all that much, and I'm without my computer for a bit. So I'm afraid I can't offer that level of help.

Good luck,

For FAR, you shouldn't start at a specific altitude. Rather, start at around 50 m/s, and pitch over by about 5 degrees. Then just follow prograde down.

That has come up, but I believe Kitspace is asking how to make MechJeb do all this, including roll to a specific axis. While I know you can use MJ to assist in doing these things, I don't know how to set it up so that MJ does it all by itself. I don't recall a "pitchover at airspeed" option in the ascent guidance.

I couldn't find an option to get MJ to do it that way. But I have it set for 1km altitude, and build the rocket with 1.2TWR. Usually by then it is going around 100m/s.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
