The Swat Kat's TurboKat. VTOL Jet with an Ejectable Motorcycle(Fixed Download Links)

It might fit in mine.

I mean just post the pic in the thread instead of the link.

V2.0 Man the 2 to 1 engine setup and not rotating them all the way down makes hovering so much harder. Also I stole your idea of clipping the cockpits together

Hey man, that's the first time I got it off the ground lol. The RCS will disappear eventually. Click on that icon of the tree picture(4 from the right) in the toolbar up top, and past the image url in there.

I've enjoyed that show, glad to see someone making recreations based on shows of the better years of Television.

Thanks man, the 90's, it's where it was at.

Very cool craft. With your motorcycle deployment, I know you mentioned you tried separatrons. Did you trying tweaking the thrust limiter on them at all?

I guess I didn't realize you could tweak the thrust on those, awesome idea, thanks

I finally got the cockpit looking really good. There is some crazy truss clipping going on here.

The new cycle version. Those doors all close, and I'll texture them black. I gotta texture the intakes to look less like a cheese wedge.

Where did you get the cargo bay? I did manage to eject a bike and have it roll off but the stock wheels puncture at 60m/s, when I increased that it would still loose control above 100m/s. That was with a reaction wheel strength 10 which seems to be the key to it staying up on its wheels, you'll probably need to edit in more to go faster.

That cargobay is from the b9 pack

That video is awesome, nice work. This video which was in the sidebar of yours shows how the guy used 4 wheels but made them look like 2 on his batpod, good idea.

It's true, I resized it though for my f35 back in the day. My tutorial on resizing parts can be found here

^Thanks, it was the size that confused me. I tried the two wheels but they don't pivot at the center so it looks bad when you turn, it should be good for dropping out of a plane though, maybe a thick rear wheel with the rear steering locked. At the moment I've got some round IR parts stuck to the other side that line up with the wheel center to try and make it look a bit less big lumps on one side, and I'm trying to make fairings with PWing. That single swing arm bat bike looks nice though (the real one), I want to make that.

That is awesome, keep me up to date with it.

I used to love this show as a kid, and now I see that I'm not the only one. Props to OP for the awesome creation, and the nostalgia :)

Hey thank you very much sir, it's an honor. And I enjoy hearing from everyone who used to watch that show. I must have been like 5 when it was on, and unfortunately you can't find much info about it anywhere.

I don't know if you saw the pics on the page before this but 2.0 is going to be an exact replica. The one in the op is kind of the clown_baby version of the turbokat

Made the intake rotation setup cleaner.

Also the intake thrusters don't look like cheese anymore, and the black has returned to the inside.

Top view, blue flaps have to be added still

I love how the fuel lines extend

Well the cycleless version is done, so no more pictures til I release it. It's easily the coolest plane I've ever built. So now onto the motorcycle version. I have some emails out to get a custom built cycle that I could load into the game just like my zoids.

It would operate just like that critter crawler thats been floating around reddit

The plane looks great, I was wondering how you'd fit a bike in :) I've got one based on that TR-2L wheel that goes in a 1m cargo bay rescaled to 1.4 and it's hard to go smaller and have it work properly.
