mechjeb 2.2.1?

Recommended Posts

Is there some place I can find and download the most current mechjeb that is NOT, IS NOT CURSE.COM??? I have had issues with that site in the past and would prefer to avoid that site if at all possible. That 1 mod will make or BREAK my ability to play this game. Look, I am not here to be told I suck by my reliance on that mod, I am here trying to find its location OTHER than curse.com, so, I beg, please help.

CurseForge is ad, adware and malware free - the latest stable release of MechJeb is available there.

Like I said, I want to avoid Curse if at all possible.

If you want the really, really, really latest and cutting-edge dev builds, you can try the project's Jenkins repository (use at own risk).

I am not interested in dev builds, but the actual genuine article of which again, dev builds are not. I had a major issue with curse.com in the past that nearly cost me a computer <mostly out of pure frustration with a virus I could not get rid of until a friend bailed me out> when I nearly smashed it to death, and unless a site is 100% swear on the bible under oath in court under penalty of perjury penalty of life in prison no parole safe, i a do my utmost to avoid it. does this make me crazy? probably. paranoid? absolutely. SO... again, any place for the genuine 2.2.1 that ISNT curse.com or some random offshoot site?

Curse ≠ CurseForge.

The "random offshoot site" you speak of is a project management site hosting the genuine MechJeb project and updated by the genuine MechJeb authors themselves. The only other site is GitHub, but that only hosts the source code and not any actual downloads for KSP.

not to sound untrusting, cuz ive seen you help others, so, i will be plain. is it 100% safe to download from curseforge then? Look, to be even more plain, I am new baby animal skittish of anything with "curse" affiliation, and need some serious reassurance that I wont end up watching my computer melt down from some virus from trying to get a mod to play a game i enjoy.

I personally use AdBlock and regularly run anti-malware scanners, but even without either of those, CurseForge is quite safe.

The only reason I don't use Curse is because some of my add-ons are alpha/experimental, which don't get listed on Curse. Most users prefer the CurseForge interface anyway.

Look, if you wanna be sure, make your system insanely safe to viruses; get a top-notch antivirus, get MalwareBytes and put it on a USB stick, then every day or so, run your system in safemode and plug in your MB stick, then run MalwareBytes. That should catch each and every virus in MB's database.

Alternatively: Get Linux - free, fast, safe and has official 64-bit KSP. :)
