Kerbal Mission Control

Mission Control is an important part of every space mission in real life. this video made kerbal mission control game canon. so how can they be implemented in game? im not asking for voicework or making chatterer stock, but the mission control team gives much needed intel and mission data to the crews.

is there a place for a mission control window in game? i was thinking it would only be on the map screen in a corner or something, perhaps displaying the current biome. generally speaking mission control would know the destination and the current location of any missions craft.

just looking for discussion. its a rainy day here.

Hmmm... Aren't we (the player) basically mission control and the astronaut combined? We come up with all the maneuvers and then carry them out, we keep an eye in the ship and asses problems with trajectory and intercepts, and then avoid/change them; so (not trying to be horrible or denounce your idea) can you give some examples on what mission control would do that we wouldn't do?

If it is just information about your orbit they give you, that's just akin to adding MJ's, KER's or VOID's orbital info boards and HUDs, which is on the WNTS list

That's the kind of thing that would be cool as a backdrop for a building scene, kind of like the astronaut complex only better because Kerbals would be moving around and doing things like in the VAB. I can't really see anywhere else it'd work well.

It wasn't just hinted but outright stated that we're getting a mission control window by clicking on the Mission Control building at the KSC (the small one you can't click on yet).

Though it is a good question what you will do there, besides looking over contracts. Perhaps it will also feature a callendar/alarm clock similar to the KAC mod eventually? It would make more sense to have things like that and launch windows tracked from there rather than the tracking station.
