As we know, we have 3 main services which support sharing: forum, Curse and reddit.

Out of all 3, my favorite is still the forum. Why?

Preview windows on Curse are incredibly small and carry no sense whatsoever.

Curse is full of ads and premium nagging

If you want to share a project, you HAVE to follow a specific format, putting in images is too hard and they automatically get stretched

and become ugly. If your project has multiple crafts, you can only then upload an archive( so it counts as 1 file). Even so, it refuses to accept .rar archives.

Projects need approval, which also takes time.

Now lets talk about reddit:

Incredibly confusing interface.

Incredibly confusing syntax.

Impossible to embed imgur albums in posts.

Chaotic placement of posts.

Spam bot protection which is broken 90% of the time.

After like 2 attempts, you can post only after some 30 minutes.

Curse and reddit are just....annoying and frustrating. It took an hour to make a post on reddit, and in the ned I didn't succed.

And yes, I read the rules etc.

What do you think? Does the forum stay on 1st place? Is dropbox and mediafire easier to use than Curse?

Let us know!

Of course this poll is going to be biased. It's like going to the Yankee's stadium and asking them which is the best baseball team. :P

I agree with Curse. I tried downloading a World Of Tanks mpd and the darn site wouldn't let me. It's horribly designed, just like Reddit.

Ooooh Reddit, "the frontpage of the internet". Why the hell does it look like it hasn't been updated since 2005? I only visit r/letsnotmeet (go read it btw), r/pixelart, and r/kerbalspaceprogram.

So yeah, my vote goes for the forum. It's simple and easy to use. :)

I've found it hard on both sites to try and get people to give criticism or praise for my videos, however I'd say Reddit would be the best place for fanworks as I've had more look with the things I've posted on there.

Also add to the list Arqade, a gaming QA website hosted by StackExchange. It's another place you can go to post questions and answers about any game, and you get points for it (you can't actually buy anything with the points, though). There are quite a few questions there about KSP.

Selection bias much.

But yeah, I'm used to web forums. Reddit I wasn't able to get into so much. I see the motivation behind their efforts to order topics based on popularity but I distrust algorithms like that somewhat, and I don't think their KSP community's as big as ours. Though the (now-retired) weekly challenges are nice, I might try working through them once I'm done with my current projects.

Curse I've not looked at as much, but I don't think it

I always used curse then I played wow and had no issues, however with KSP I see problems, one obvious one is as other say images.

An high quality part mod needs lots of images of the various parts.

Multiple files is also useful in lots of settings.

Verifying of files is pretty much an must for an MMO like WOW, not much need for an game like KSP.

Did not know that reddit had mods, I find their interface so confusing they had to do it on purpose.

Forum works well however searching for mod is an nightmare. For mods I have downloaded I always keep the forum link.
