How do i build a Kraken drive?

Recommended Posts

Very few working ones remain and those that do are now unreliable and very weak.

Oh well at least it was 5 minutes of fame. :)

From what people had gathered the drive worked by landing legs clipping through an object to press on another. This somehow cancelled one side of the force out. Wasn't good for the legs though and they broke easily. 0.23.5 improved the joint system which just causes the legs to break the second they are deployed. I've managed to get docking ports to make phantom forces but no working drive yet...

Also no one was truly sure how they really worked and that's all just peoples theories so everything I just typed may be completely wrong. ;)

looks like it's taking advantage of the wheel collider suspension system pressing against the structural plate. You can edit the leg's impact tolerance, suspensionSpring and Damper, that could possibly make it more durable and more controllable.

You could do that but the whole point of the K-Drive is to provide a warp drive to those who want to keep the game stock.
