Rubber laughing gas SRB

Basically I want to see a nitrous oxide (probably just oxidizer for in game) rubber hybrid rocket engine like that of the dream chaser and spaceship 2. Basically a throttlable SRB. No clue if this has been suggested before but I do think it should be in the game, maybe as a engine a bit longer than the RT-10 SRB booster in game, the engine could be excellent for getting rid of extra space plane oxidizer!

Yes but it is still different from what I'm proposing, rocket engine that is throttlable, uses oxidizer and a non reloadable solid fuel, the booster you are talking about is just a liquid fuel engine that comes with a gas tank.

The idea of a hybrid rocket is you have a solid propellant and a liquid oxidizer. There's a bunch of different fuel types that hybrids can run on, from latex rubber to card to in at least one case, a salami.

Right now there are no stock hybrid engines in the game, but the Interstellar mod does include an aluminium hybrid rocket that can run on water and alumina extracted from Mün's surface.

Personally I'm hoping something like it (or like Interstellar in general) is at least in consideration. But if not, there's always the mod.

Not really, no. Hybrid means liquid oxidizer, solid fuel. I guess gas is a fluid, but gas isn't really well-suited for fuel in general.

EDIT: Wikipedia says I'm wrong. As long as one reagent is solid, and the other is fluid, it's hybrid.

To be specific: It's a rocket engine that is throttlable, uses oxidizer and a reloadable fuel. Everything in one package. Cause it's a booster.

So, you still didn't explain what's the point of it? What is an added value over LFB KR-1x2 or SRB?
