So I've been playing and modding KSP since nearly the beginning but sadly I don't contribute much. I'm not that talented. I did however, package and distribute privately to friends, a modpack that I would like to share. Seeing as this is a public domain there are probably a lot of rules to re-posting and or slightly modifying the modifications. This post is a sort of feeler/inquiry as to the interest level in such a prepackaged mod. I've seen it done before with little to no results and or/support so I turn to you the community and the mod authors for input.

The mod is optimized for 64x Linux KSP, but there is a lite version which excludes mainly the visual enhancement mods. Unfortunately friends have reported infrequent crashes on x32 anyway. Hopefully x64 Win KSP will bring more mods into the hands of the users when it is released

As of this moment I have no permissions to reuse/ re-post or modify the mods so you wont find a DL link just yet.

The goal here is to make a quick and easy grab bag of popular addons chosen by myself for the modder who isn't patient enough to go digging for all the gems strewn about the forums here.

If you don't recognize a mod name its likely a kitbash of a few things which may include a few of my own tweaks.

The instal includes a program called JSGME for easy install/uninstall of mod folders.

NEW TO 3.12 EXAMPLE CRAFTS (more will be added)

If you want to install my author created crafts dig into the folder and move the VAB and SPH folders to the following folder

[Kerbal Space Program/saves/"yoursavegamename"/ships]

STEP 1: Dig into the .zip and drag JSGME.exe into you main KSP directory.

STEP 2: Run JSGME from that KSP folder. It'll promt you for a mod directory, name it "MODS" without the Quotes.

STEP 3: Exit that for now and find that MODS folder in the main KSP folder. Now, select the MODS folderin the .zip and dump your root KSP directory.

STEP 4: Skip to step 5.

STEP 5: Take "toolbar-settings.dat" from the zip and drop it in the GAMEDATA folder in the main KSP directory.

STEP 6: Almost there take the remaining *.mep files and put them in the main KSP directory.

STEP 7: Run JSGME again and click the "Tasks..." button and then choose "Load mod profile"

It will prompt you to choose a *.mep file. If you are running the game in 32 bit Win, only use "User_Loadup (no texture mods).mep" If you are on an x64 OS use FULL LOADUP.mep

The mods your system can handle will be loaded. It excludes texture mods. And treeedit. Instead you get treeloader.

!!!IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!

STEP 8: Run kerbal. If you want to start a career that sees all these mod parts and ordered them according to my taste, when you start a new career you should see a prompt to choose a tech tree. Choose "UAL002".

Please provide some input here, and if you author any of these mods and don't mind them being redistributed let me know. For now this is a concept. It exists and is very much playable and stable on x64 but not released to you guys just yet... if ever. *crosses fingers
