Naming craft

I usually use abbreviations like xrayfishx or analogues to the real life spacecrafts. For example my first probe that left the system was named Gallivant instead of Voyager.

The most creative name I've done so far is "KISS" for my Kerbal International Space Station.

I made two cargo freighters called Contents Fragile and This End Up.

I just either make it a pun, something that goes well with the designation, or something that really just describes it. I called my attempt at a hypersonic-escape into orbit Maverick I. (Need... for speed.)

For anything that I consider a prototype that I expect to go badly wrong due to my poor design skills I just name X-1, X-2 etc. More sensible craft typically I go for the whole Greek and Roman god names but I also name craft after explorers too so I have stuff like Columbus, Magellan, Drake, Raleigh, Marco Polo.

Last night I built a rocket I believed would be a massive disaster so I called it Deathtrap I. Ironically it turned out to be quite decent and no Kerbals died.
