My conclusion is that Kerbals are actually demonic beings that disguise themselves as the adorable green creatures that we all know and love to trick us into helping them seize control of the universe and throw it into an age of eternal darkness. You just did something that forced it to gradually reveal its true form, and I strongly recommend that you go no further with this.
