How would I go about installing a Mac version of a game with Windows Steam?

I need to download a Mac version of a game on a Windows computer because I have Windows installed on a virtual machine, which consequently runs slower. How would I force download a Mac game on Windows Steam?

I'm not sure i understand the question completely. If you have a mac, just download the mac version of steam from that.

It'll then filter out games in your library that are compatible with Mac OS.

The issue is I have a case-sensitive file-system on my Mac.
