You need to be a popular youtube personality with about 100 KSP videos already, and a history of interacting with the community.

How do I apply for early KSP version?

There's a few groups of people who can get experimental access:

- The QA & Experimental test team

- The forum moderators (for technical reasons)

- The Media Group (as mentioned made up of Youtubers and the likes)

- KSP-TV streamers

So you'd need to be in one of these groups to get experimental access, but although you get earlier access to updates it's not all fun and games (pun intended). You are then expected to write up bug reports of a certain standard and actively participate in making sure the update releases with as few bugs as possible. For all these positions an age requirement of 18 years also applies which is due to the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) you'll have to agree to. It's a legal thing. I've heard rumours that after the 0.24 release some positions in the experimentals team might open up. But we'll hear from that when the time comes
