Hinges..

I'd like to know if anyone knows how to make hinges from the stock items in ksp?

If I remember correctly the structural pylon bends a ton.

The only way I know is using the claw but it's large and clunky. Basically, between two flat pieces you put the claw on one end and docking ports on the other end. Then you arm the claw and undock the ports. Use landing struts and RCS to control the thing.

I saw a video once where someone used landing legs and 2x2 panels and made a cargo bay out of that, which was a hinged row of panels that opened with the gears opening. If that's in any way helpful then you're a better person than me.

You do about the infernal robotics mod right? Really great work there.

Back a few versions ago(.19 i think) you could use the medium struts as hinges with the panels + docking ports. No longer works.
