mr_yogurt
Simply put, do you believe that Mars One will be able to launch a manned rocket and get people to Mars by 2025 like they say they will?I'm skeptical they will even get to the "launching a rocket" part.Does anyone know how to change a poll title? Mars One decided to push things back two years. Edited July 16, 2014 by mr_yogurt Apparently Mars One thinks 2025 now instead of 2023.
lajoswinkler
Of course not. Not even the Chinese, let alone any hoax group such as Mars One.
Karriz
Actually they're now aiming for 2025: http://www.mars-one.com/mission/roadmapBut I'd be surprised if they even manage to launch the small probe that's planned for 2018. They seem to lack credibility and of course money. That said, I certainly do wish they succeed, but I just don't see it happening.
NASAFanboy
Not this again...I seriously have doubts a TV-show is going to make it to Mars ahead of a multi-billion dollar corporation or a government agency. Not even the highest viewing ratings over three years could pay for the journey. It won't happen unless a massive corporation such as SpaceX or a spaceflight-capable nation takes interest. Whiel its contracts with Lockheed do grant a little legitamancy, they have a tall order to accomplish. I wonder what the heck its founder was thinking when he started the organization. If he did his research, he would know it most likely would not work. Edited July 16, 2014 by NASAFanboy
Mr Shifty
Please, dear science, this has been discussed to death already in the forums several times. If you want to start a new thread, first read through [thread=47036]this one[/thread] and then try again only if you have something new to add. technicalfool
Hi there. This thread's subject has been discussed before. Rather than merging with the older "Is Mars-one a scam" thread, I'll leave this thread and its poll intact, lock it, and urge people to continue their conversations here instead.
