024 - Unlocking science nodes, don't have to pay for new parts?

When looking at a new science node, all (stock(*)) parts have a one-time cost. But when unlocking the node, all new parts are immediately available and no Funds are deducted. I had assumed that after unlocking a new science node, each part in the node would have to be separately unlocked (researched?) before it would be available to add to your rockets.

Presumably this is a future feature?

(*) I noticed KW Rocket parts have a 0 cost to "unlock".

No, you do not have to pay the entryCost fee when you unlock parts. It is displayed, but you are not charged.

This means the values are still placeholders, so don't pay much heed to them.

I do not know if or when that will be implemented. It would be a good guess for the next update, but just that; A guess.

It was the same way on 0.23.5, no? I never had to unlock each part separately, just unlock each "group".

Yes; but in 0.23.5 there were no Funds, so it was obvious they were just placeholder values. I had just assumed these values would be used in 0.24. Should have guessed it wasn't a feature since none of the early YouTube vids commented on this.

(Edit: Should have probably put this into Discussion, rather than Questions, since I know it wasn't working; mostly just wondering whether it's a bug or a future feature.)
