This is a really good idea, especially for new(ish) players that aren't familiar with the part names (I've been playing for 2 years and I can barely remember the names).

Even for experienced players this would be a very useful feature. I've been playing for ages but I still don't have all the part names in my head. Would very much like to see this feature added.

Ooooh, I like this idea. The names are sometimes confusing, and I often get confused about the part names.

Hey Squad,

Ive been playing the appropriately named update (.90 beta than ever), and the feature id like to suggest is pictures in the part based contracts. Im not a KSP guru by any means and I have a hard time remembering what all the parts are by name. I like that without upgrading mission control you can only select 2 contracts but when i have to be very selective about what I pick for my next mission I dont want to pick a contract that is "use Rockomax BACC SOlid Fuel Booster landed at kerbin" when i really wanted to use RT-10 Solid Fuel booster and i selected the wrong one because I couldnt remember the proper name. Now my options are, change the mission plan to account for the new GIANT engine that I was not planning on using, or cancel the contract and lose the funds and or rep for cancel.

I have a couple of options to make sure this doesnt happen. I could keep the wiki open and check every part to make sure I know exactly what every part is, or i could keep jumping back and forth between the VAB and mission control checking all the part, however that poses problems when I can get contracts for parts I haven't unlocked yet.

I think adding a picture of the part you need to test to the contract window when you select the contract would be incredibly helpful. I dont think it would be super hard to add in if you used the part select icons in the VAB. Everyone has been doing a great job bringing new players to the game and I think this would help KSP become a more new player friendly game.
