x32 vs x64

Hi gang,

I'm overthinking this I suppose....

Ok, I DL'd both the 32 and 64 installers to have them ready for use later this afternoon when I return to domicile.

Of course my current install is x32 on windows, and I can upgrade that one.

Is my supposition correct that I wouldn't be able to upgrade that one to x64 and keep my saves that I had there?

If a procedure is warranted to do so, please share hehehe.

I'm not that concerned if I lose stuff, but I have several stations around Kerbin, Mun and Minimus.

I'm likely to begin a science career anyways to try out contracts, but wanted to ask the best way to approach this "upgrade"

The steam version installs both, and the only difference seems to be the executable itself. I ran 32 bit, then the 64, then the 32 again, all in the same directory from where my 0.23.5 install was, so there shouldn't be any incompatibilities.

Hey LD, thanks for answering.

I'll let the launcher update the current install, then look in the directory to see what I get.
