I always thought the Kraken was an intended feature and easter egg that actually lived on in the Jool part of the kerbal system. Do you mean to tell me its not?

It's not. The Kraken is, sadly, just a family of bugs within the games code that've been really hard to iron out for the devs!

But the Kraken on one of the moons of Jool (Uhm..Bop? I think?) Is intentional. It's also rather cute for a demonic, craft eating space monster.

They wouldn't be releasing it to experimentals or QA already if there's almost nothing actually finished yet.

Makes me happy to see this. The structure of the game is at a good place, but what's needed is cleaning and bug-squashing, especially if they're committed to making use of 64-bit. And it looks like they're not wasting any time.

I hope its 24.1 to hammer out some of the pressing issues on the x64 Windows client. I'm still running the Linux version and can't wait to do a full move to Windows for KSP

Not really. 0.23.5 was "this is kinda a new version, but we hadn't planned on it and integrated it into the versions plan (0.24 was planned for contracts), so let's name it 0.23.5". Patches fix bugs; 0.23.5 added features.
