Will we ever need to bring multiple kerbals for something?

Like, apart from staffing the lab, practically you can do everything else with just one kerbal.

What gameplay mechanics, do you think, can force or encourage players to send multiple kerbals on a mission?

It's not required ATM, but missions where landers undock from a mothership, land, and collect data while the mothership gathers in-orbit data would be more efficient in terms of time. (and it would look VERY cool! IMO)

Maybe, but this is bordering on mental health suggestion, maybe the farther the mission goes, the more courageous kerbal you'll need? I have this weird idea where the sum total of the courage of kerbals in a ship determines how far you can go before the crew commit mutiny, and/or you suffer massive reputation loss, and courageous kerbals are hard to come by, so you'll have to hire more, but less courageous kerbals to do a mission.

I really like the idea of the science lab, I just think it needs to be better implemented. If it generated its own science or played a prominent role in certain lucrative contracts, that would be reason enough for me to go to the trouble of hefting it into orbit.
