Mini rescue ships

I glue 8 of these with separators on top of a lifter and park in a 240K orbit. When I need to rescue someone I decouple one and do the deed.

The 48-7S and those 3 tanks make 1300 dV. That's enough for a rendezvous, deorbit and landing at KSP with fuel to spare.

The light and PB-NUK are because I always seem to end up doing the rescue in Kerbin's shadow.

Cost 5342 funds each.

Anyone got cheaper?

(Just spotted that 3300 funds is for the PB-UK! I'll play with a battery and see if that will do instead).

This does pretty much the same job for 2502 funds (and has 1500 dV)...

Swapping out the three Oscar-Bs for an FL-T100 brings the price down to F2212 and ups the dV to 2979 if you are really watching the pennies and/or need the dV but the aesthetics don't quite do it for me

just launched ten of these into orbit...thanks for the idea! I was previously using a Mk 1, FL-T100, and a LV909...these should be MUCH better!
