Using 64bit on Steam?

Recommended Posts

Hi, you have to go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program", there you can find KSP_x64.exe application

I tried that as soon as I got it. It just states "Data not found" then "There should be 'KSP_x64_Data'

folder next to the executable"

Edit: It works if I launch directly from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program. However is there any way I can avoid going through 7 layers of folders to get there. Creating a shortcut comes up with the message above.

That doesn't sound right.

Are you using copy to->desktop (create shortcut)?

Or are you copying the launcher and pasting it to the desktop? (if you are, try the copy to option)

Tried that and it worked. :) Thanks

I was copying the icon. :P

Bingo.

It's a suprisingly common mistake. When you actually copy the icon yourself, you place is in a new map (desktop map), and the program is designed to search for the data in the map the .exe is

Hi,

There is another way:

- Go on steam, on ure games library

- Right clic on Kerbal Space Program, and search for proprieties

- edit Launch proprieties

- then, add "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\KSP_x64.exe" %command%

(thats my path, put ures :D)

By this way, u can launch ure x64 KSP in steam way, wiz steamoverlay, if u want to see friends and or share screenshot over steam
