I feel that doing "new things" and "working on .25" was already assumed by most readers.

Well, no one at SQUAD really knows what they're going to be doing for the next release until they plan it out so vague statements should be expected up until release time, when we all get a surprise.

Can't argue with that. I laughed when the Facebook posting for the dev notes claimed there was a lot to read. Tarn Adams, for instance, craps out more informative and technical content than the KSP dev notes in a single sitting. The Project Zomboid dev blogs are a refreshing read after the stifling lack of information here. CCP did quite a good job keeping the playerbase informed. And so forth.

It wouldn't happen during their time off, but do you really want to hear about their holidays? That can happen. Things are just starting up with development planning so that's about all they were able to say at the moment.

Id bet that most devs would have a week off after release, and even when they were back, the first two dev blogs would just say something about planning thr next update.
