Now I was just trying a near identical tactic for testing fighter planes on a target craft, but the target's throttle keeps cutting whenever it gets more than 50m away, any suggestions on how to fix?

I always find I glitch when I try to do anything like this the flying is fine but the game then will not let me go back to the space center or revert the flight any ideas as to why this is?

I've never had this issue. What version are you running it in and are you sure you have zero mods or plugins in place?

If you note during the takeoff roll in my video, that is why I get both crafts off the ground as quickly as possible. For some reason, when they are on the ground and you toggle to a different entity, the throttle cuts by default on the craft you're no longer in control of. Once off the ground, the throttles will hold steady.
