Game lags at 5 fps with 67 mods

Step 1: Lower your game's graphical settings to quarter or eight res.

Step 2: Install Active Texture Management.

Step 3: Remove all those visual mods.

Step 4: ???

Step 5: PROFIT!

Also if you're going to take screenshots of the mod folders, make them fullscreen so we don't get half a screen of folders and half a screen of your browser.

Usually mods don't lag by themselves? Try playing stock, or uninstall the mods you don't use. The Graphical mods like clouds are the worse though.

Stock(the ones the mods provide) works very slowly.

Hello, I recently installed 67 mods and now my game is lagging(no-wonder).... Can someone tell me which mods cause the most lag so i can remove them?

Does the game lag the same amount all the time? If, for example, your framerate spikes when you're looking at empty space and tanks while looking at planets, then you need to remove graphics mods and turn down your scenery graphics settings. If it tanks the same amount while looking at empty space, I'd probably blame mods that change the game's mechanics.

Try right-clicking on each folder; the larger the mod, the more pressure it puts on your system.

Run the game in 64 bit mode too.

2-x64-realease.zip is the name of Active Texture Magment

64 bit only helps when running out of memory on bootup/loading crafts. It doesn't help CPU loads, which is what causes lag in KSP cause KSP is weird.

3-Going to take some time

Just ctrl+click all the folders then hit delete

4-?????

???????

5-Havent gotten my money....

You need to ??? more.

Stock means without mods. Like vanilla minecraft.

It lags mostly when when i am looking at the ships and stuff after launch not if i open the mini map it doesn't and while building it doesn't. Yes I run 64 bit KSP on my 64bit Computer

I had a similar problem with the 64 bit client and a pile of mods, only mine just kept crashing when loading a save or launching something. Here is what I suggest:

Take everything in your gamedata folder except the "Squad" and "Nasamission" folders, and move it to somewhere that is not your ksp install. I just put a folder on my desktop called .24.2 mods. Next, start adding mods that you can't live without, one by one, and test the game loading and its ability to not lag in whatever situation it was lagging for you.

Keep adding mods until you get that crazy lag. Take the mod out that you added just before the lag hit, then add other mods and test. Eventually you'll come up with a list of one or a few mods that are giving you a headache. Then you can check for fixes to them if possible.

For posterity's sake, the mods causing my game to crash repeatedly were "crossfeed enabler", which is supposed to be 64 bit compatible, and realchute, which is also supposed to be good to go for 64 bit. It could be the interaction between other mods. The next step for me if I care enough to do it is to load ksp with only the problem mods and see if it's stable. If it is, then it's a problem with mods interacting, and I get to start the whole process over again.

Hope some of this helps you.

In the past mechanics heavy mods have caused framerate lag for me. In particular mechjeb with a reading window with a pile of values updating all the time did it as I recall. Usually the graphics heavy ones don't lag all that bad. Try reducing textures to half res in settings and see if that vastly reduces lag. If it does, your video card may be weak.

EDIT: Glad you were able to reduce your lag. Sounds like your video card might be the culprit. If you'd like to check out what's going on with your system while playing ksp, download hardware info monitor, and while playing, specifically look at the GPU Core Load value. If it's close to 100%, then you're maxing out your graphics ability and should consider lowering settings.

No, when you hold ctrl, you can click multiple folders and it will on select those folders you clicked.

From those two logs you posted, it looks like you're running out of memory. KSP was using 90% of your memory. Even if KSP was the only thing using any RAM at that time, it's still requiring too much for your system to handle, so it crashes.
