What's the difference between that and ZS? Was it something from before me being on the forum or from when I was a newb?

It was like one of the three companies (the other two being SSL and Zepto) that got me into KSP companies in the first place.

The music from the first post's vid is so special to me :D

Her armor is running top and bottom on long rails, so that none of the armor connects to the fuel tanks or anything else that might spontaneously disassemble. It is also heavily strutted to the center girder system, as well as to the opposite side and between the top and bottom segments.

I've got KSP up and running, gonna chase that little runner down.

just saying that's not much armor, plus railing the armor means it's more likely to lose a whole chunk of it on one hit, thus leaving the rest of the ship 100% exposed (something easily exploitable with guided missiles)

I was a complete newb around that time and so ignorant of the rocket builders. :( I arrived around the time VL was the largest company which was a few months further on.

EXACTLY why I want to redo it. Right now it's in 3 sections: You can't destroy the "whole" armor with just 1 shot. The refit of the ship will have independent armor sections.

So much for your retrograde orbit. Its altitude made it REALLY easy to match up with.

Understood; i'm just thinking scatter damage as the warhead phases through. But yes, good idea re-armoring it.

It also seems everyone's using more and more wing armor... why is this? I didn't get the memo.

I just think it looks better. And it's easier to work with, because of the bigger pieces.

Also, I think it's lighter.

@Zekes. Exactly, not only that but I find the new spaceplane parts a little clunky to work with.

and they're expensive! Wings are Expensive!

@Starwhip, that's because it's a tiny projectile... KSP missiles tend to do more damage to a target if they're heavy... plus, there's heavy armor under there.

Are they expensive? I didn't notice. :P

Hmm. Are you sure? (There's no heavy armor there, but I think he must've hit a strutty area in the construction.) My I-Beam missiles deal more damage than that thing, and they are much lighter, but then again they probably go a hell of a lot faster.

(And also, that missile was about five or six Oscar-B's long before it hit me)

Starwhip: That's a decisive victory to you then. :)

My ships performance was pretty disappointing. Both weapons and armour. Your shooting must have been good though. Pretty much the only piece missing from the Revenge was the central crew cabin. the rest of the ship was fine.

Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

With a nosecone which has a high impact tolerance.

Does anyone have any tips for weapons and armouring?
