Guys this is my first post here but I thinK may have thought of a missile design that could be REALLY dangerious: so you know how if you clip toomany intakes or wheels or other things together when physics loads it will spaz out and then explode. Well you can stop the spazing with a liberal aplication of struts which have a 12 metre per second impact tollarance. so here's what I was thinking-take a spazy chunk of clipped wheels strutiffy it and then fire it at the enemy ship so when it impacts the struts break and the spazzyness starts rippng the other ship to peices. Can't get to KSP for a while so can somebody try it out?

Been done before, nothing new. I have one missile right now and I bet the others have made a type of it one form or another. If you come up with another idea just post here.

enjoy!!!

also, i am interested in how these Battles occur... i've read the rules and i understand them but I'm not really getting how it all happens, i would like to participate in one.

if i could just get a brief description of how a battle is set up that would be nice.

otherwise, enjoy looking up to my Mighty tank!!! HA-HA-HA!

I'm most utterly impressed I loved the video. The hidden shells got me by surprise really. but I think your missiles are weak individually unless you barrage the enemy.

I'm out of town ATM, but I'll get my tanks up the second I can. (I also need to finish my scout tank :P)

I will say that if we're doing this with teams, that I'll join whichever team needs a player to balance out the game.

Also, as Zekes has said (and I have experience with from an old battle with Daemon), the Pyramids region is rediculously mountainous.

I'd recommend having the battle either in and around one of Kerbin's river valleys, or at KSC 2.

Sorry for the noobish question, but how do you guys often get your assets to the theatre of battle? I've never done one of these battles before, so I'm not entirely sure about things like this. Should we get our tanks and such there with a cargo ship or rocket? Or do we use hyperedit?

Thx..

i have long been aware that my rockets aren't very powerful, thank you for reminding me! :)

i should probably change that for the Mk2 ... 8D

Try using guided missiles so you can shoot from far away and get up to very high speed before the missile hits.

Well, I just checked over my tanks, completing the new designs while upgrading the MBT-3 (for practicality reasons).

Meet the MBT-3A2, the HT-1 Crusader, and the LAT-1 Coyote:

The MBT-3A2 features minor modifications from the standard model, as well as an improved recoil stabilizer system.

The LAT-1 is a fun little Light Assault Tank that carries up to three individual munitions on its set of hardpoints.

And now, for something awesome:

I posted on this thread a while ago and I don't want to sound impatient but I'm afraid my post got lost; so here it is:

How does this work? is it a multiplayer thing?

If I had a vehicle (like this:
) would I need anything else to join?

Thanks for answering my newbish questions.

Thanks again!

It's technically not MP, but turn-based.

Basically, it works like this: One of the two players battling sets up a save with their craft hyper-edited into orbit around a planet, then posts the save. Then the other player DLs the save file, loads it, sets up their ships, and takes their turn. In one turn, the player whose turn it is takes their lowest-mass ship, targets a hostile vessel, moves to within 2.5 km of their target, and attacks with their weapons (no cheats or ramming allowed!). Once they've either expended their ship's ammo, done a satisfactory amount of damage to the enemy ship, or destroyed the enemy ship, then saves the game and puts the save up for the other player to DL and take their turn. Ships are almost always moved in order of lightest-to-heaviest, by mass, and the best way to share craft files is through a cloud hosting service like Dropbox or Mediafire.

If you wish, I'll battle you to help you learn. You up for it?

I'd be down for a battle near said River Valley or KSC 2. (i dont think buildings cause too much lag)

In my honest opinion, I think I'd like to be paired up with Zaminovar, as none of my tanks utilize guided missiles which would be capable of killing his tanks outright.

But my armoring systems on my tanks are (not to be bragging or anything) some of the best.

In my engagements I mostly use these:

The armor on the Flame Tank is so strong it can shrug off a couple of 1.25m rounds before eventually being crippled.

Vaos tests it in this video:

I occasionally use Panthers or other experimental tanks.

Wow, the LAT-1 looks a lot like my very own light tank, the KUSC Scout Tank - Maverick.

Yeah, plus the overall requirements of having a practical tank sort of make that overall chassis layout a good one for smaller units.

I might rework the (non-rotating, since rotors can drastically boost part count) turret on the LAT-1, to give it a bit more aesthetic appeal.

That lifter looks almost exactly like my Helicopters (Choppers) I might convert them to do that. I just need a small tank to carry.

It's been designated as "Dolphin" Helicopters they come in two (2) variants, an air-support and a ground-support version. Their only difference is their armament. Armaments include Air-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Ground Missiles and Cluster/Munition Bombs.

(They are just VTOL (Vertical Take-off and Landing) planes. The wings look like propellers so they can take off and land just fine. Not as fast as a plane but more agile.

For the sake of RP they are considered helicopters/choppers they were inspired by Daniel I think, (Great pigeon dictator) from his unrelenting asymmetrical crafts, I put the idea to good use)
