what should I do next with my minmus base?

I don't know what to do next with my minmus base. I already have a karbonite mining rig, A habitation Module and a science module. I don't know what to do besides adding more hitchhikers

Fine Print will give you contracts to rover around some areas in Minmus. Given the low gravity, a small rover with a FT100 tank and a 48-7s can take you almost anywhere in Minmus (or use ions)

I'm thinking about using extraplanetary launchpads to create ships on Minmus orbit from karbonite or kethane mined from there... but the issue with Minmus is that it isn't that good of a location for interplanetary transfers: sure, you're on the edge of Kerbin's SOI, but that's offset by the loss of the Oberth effect and the long orbital periods mean you can loose an interplanetary window (ok, theoretically, you could do a Hoffman transfer to Kerbin's orbit, lower your Pe to take advantage of the Oberth effect and aim for the stars... err, the rest of the Kerbol system, but good luck getting your Pe in the right place, hitting it at the right time and avoiding the Mun's SOI)

Other than that, I don't know. That's one of the things with this game. You get to a new body and it's a sandbox. There isn't anything you can really do other than harvest science that will yield a reward or win under the "rules" of the game itself.

I put my base on minmus because of a fine print contract I think I might try extraplanetary launchpads and play around with that, not to create interplanetary ships, but to make more modules for the base!

A life support mod (eg; TAC LS) plus mods for bases and station parts which include greenhouses and similar. Grow your own ecology ;-0

Do you have enough power to convert the Karbonite into fuel? (asuming it works like Kethan here, I have yet to try out Karbonite).

If not, land a power module loaded with RTGs

Hell, you could land a few Orange fuel tanks to fill up as you convert the Karbonite, and turn the base into a fuel depo.

Your landers could land, refuel, and go in 1 quick action (unless offcourse you have your convertion station in orbit. Not sure what is more efficient)
