I think there is no point in calling every bug and game weirdness "Kraken". This is by no means as bad as problems that were originally given that name.

I believe that the behavior is tied with disappearance of struts holding these SRBs in positions. A cross-like pendulum with free ends and weak joints in the middle is getting into resonance for quite a while and it's an artefact of the physics engine, not Kraken.
