I am so unqualified to be in charge of a space center.

Really, I am not a rocket scientist.

(Not that I advertise myself as such, but still…)

I don't know why I bought this game. (I enjoy it, but I still can't explain my reasoning.)

Since my arrival at KSC, I have personally turned the VAB into a "factory of sadness."

I have, however, made significant progress in the days since I begun.

(Namely, I figured out how to (most of the time) land a spaceplane in roughly one piece (give or take), increasing the astronaut survival rate by about 84%. Actually, I just made that number up.)

My skills at rocketry, however, are subpar, at best.

As nobody in their right mind would volunteer for the kind of work I am making my "glorious cosmonauts" do, I have resorted to taking felons convicted of petty crimes, as well as mental outpatients, and strapping them onto whatever rocket-powered travesty I have created for my own twisted amusement. Much like the insane spacemen who surround me constantly, I have lost any and all grip on my sanity. Much of my waking time is spent designing new rockets, all of which fail disastrously.

Please, stop me before I kill agai- Oh, wait, too late.

R.I.P. Malcolm Kerman

You're free to have fun with the game any way you like. If you don't like the outcome of your playing, you have room to improve. If you like it, the better for you.

And using standard forum's formatting without trying to make yourself special by weird font modifiers can make your posts a whole lot better readable.

I seem to have no real problem guiding the Kerbals to fame and glory. Then again, I've been doing it for a very, very long time...

Rockets are actually not too tough. Keep it simple, straightforward, and pointing in the right direction and you'll do fine. Consult this handy flowchart if you're ever unsure as to how to proceed in your design:

The real question is: Who IS qualified to be in charge of KSC???

The major problemâ€â€one of the major problems, for there are severalâ€â€one of the many major problems with running a space program is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it.

To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who most want to build rockets are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made in charge of KSC should on no account be allowed to do the job.

No one's qualified to be in charge of KSC. I mean, have you seen what people here do?

But safety and rockets on Kerbin really stop being an issue thanks to the idea of parachutes. Just put one on the capsule and you're good.

Hello,

Whoa there's a KSP flowchart? My Kerbal Space Engineers did not inform me of this; probly cause they didnt get the memo I know I sent one; argh...space kraken again?

Well after the first 3 months of intelligence reports and simulations I graduated sandbox some distant muns ago; after a year or so of pluging in things still change and we adapt.

Now I am testing a new contract tonite on live stream I never tried before (thats why it is a simulation); I always 'SIM' first before letting my fellow Kerbals at it.

We are all partially qualified and my live streams try to be as instructional as possible and the learning process is always there for us to take on the shallange...

Also...Malcolm turned up - you didnt lose him - I dont know what we are gonna do with him he keeps blabbin about 'tuna' and sandwiches...wait maybe he wants to go to Duna?!
