Will this PC run Kerbal Space Program on Ultra?

Hello! I was wondering of buying Kerbal Space Program today but I don't know if I could run the game. For some reason the KSP Demo won't open so I thought I would ask this community! Enough blabbering here are my specs:

CPU: AMD A-10 6700 rated at 3.7ghz

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8570 with 2gb ddr3 ram

OS: Windows 8.1

Ram: 8gb ddr3 ram

If there is anything else that you might need just ask and I will post it!

I would have used Can You Run It But I don't trust it. Made me buy a game I could not run and it said I could run it on ultra I was like what the derp.

Thank you and have a good day!

The GPU is the integrated? (Not clear from your post, but the 'ddr3' is a clue.)

I'm running on A10-5800K, and get decent performance. Most of the graphics options are cranked up, except the AA (anything more than 4x causes lag). Also, phys delta is at the default and I don't see much 'time dilation' unless I'm flying something with a stupid high part count (500+). I've also got 2GB frame buffer carved out.

Indeed, that's something you need to look at. There are some known bugs with AMD processors, fixes for them exist.

Anyway, KSP's a bit unusual in terms of demands on the PC. The physics is single-threaded and gets heavy with large ships, so it's less a case of "can it run KSP on ultra" and more "can it run an xxx-part ship without lag?" That CPU's decent enough, lots of people including myself play on worse and you'll be fine up to a few hundred parts on a ship, but a current Intel processor would do better.

It's not so demanding on graphics, at least in stock (you can get mods to make things look flashier), so I wouldn't be surprised if the AMD integrated graphics can max them out.

I dream of having hardware that good on which to run KSP. My kit is an old refurbished Dell Optiplex 745 with a non-standard size graphics card, which means I can't upgrade it, and so I find I need to play with the graphics quality turned down. But you know what? I found it made little difference in how well the game looks (as in - it still looks good with the graphics turned way down), and the only thing I can't get at all is the re-entry flames, just the ship heating effect. The gameplay is, of course unaffected by the graphics quality. I do use several mods in my games, too. I'd imagine that if you can get the demo version working, you'll be able to get the current version working fine - the demo is way behind the current version, incidentally, the current version is easier to use/play (IMHO).

That's just a low-profile card... you can get various cards in low-profile that wil be a decent upgrade over what you have already! (to note - many cards are actually low-profile already, they just don't come with the low-profile back-plate, but they are cheap enough on Ebay...)

Both the CPU and GPU will throttle you. I doubt your 1080p experience with medium ships on ultra is going to be good.

Only one thing will throttle a sysem at a time! so how can you say both GFX card and Processor will throttle at the same time?!

My Rig:

Gigabyte Motherboard (1066 FSB)

Intel Q8200 Quad Core

AMD HD5750 (3gb DDR5 version)

6gig DDR3

1x 60Gb Vertex SSD

2x 180Gb Velociraptors

1x Blu-Ray drive.

Plays most thing in Ultra/High with not much problem; only things that affect it seem to be high part-count or Crysis!

The mighty Crysis lags my GTX 660 and i5 3550 rig.

Don't nitpick, please, different things will throttle you at different times, whether that be how many frames you can render or how many your processor can output.

Also, a 5750 seriously runs bf4 on ultra at 1080p?
