X64 Version of KSP

I recently downloaded the x64 (64 bit) version of KSP 0.24.2 - I was sadly disappointed how slowly it was running on my system (seemed a bi glitchy too)? So I downloaded the 32 bit version and it runs great! Is it my PC? I have a Toshiba I7 laptop running Windows 8. I never really had problems running KSP before and I do a lot of Whackjob stuff like this.

the 64bit version of KSP is buggy at best, and there's not much Squad can do about it because it's Unity that's bugged.

Thanks fir the info, I'll stick with the 32 bit version for now - at least until Unity puts out a proper patch.

One other question; are the craft files and saves switchable between the x32 and x64 versions? I haven't tried it yet but I thought I'd ask first, since I got such a quick reply to my first question.

I haven't tried but I'd be surprised if there is any problem with that, just copy the craft files from your old save\SPH & VAB folders to the new one

I have 2GB graphics chip set - my laptop is practically brand new <1yr everything should be up to date.

ah ok, you're probably better off with the 32 bit version anyway, I can't tell you how many strange issues I've had with x64, I'm thinking of reverting back to x86 too.

I too have had to stop playing in 64bit mode. I was playing fine for the a great while, but now all it does is crash whenever I attempt to load into a building at the space center. 32 bit mode does not share the same corruption issues.
