Behold!

I am creating a new DMP server, but not just any DMP server, but a war server.

It will have players building, flying, and destroying in this new multiplayer mod.

It is under heavy development, and is bound to have things changed.

This requires a few mods, which are listed below.

Mods Required

Looking forward for suggestions, it may become a large list, but it will be worth the work and loading!

Rules:

1. Kerbin is a neutral planet, you may not take it for your own empire. You can, however, take the moons of Kerbin, or at least some parts since it would be quite difficult to take it all.

2. All vehicles must follow this name layout: (Empire Name)'s (Vehicle) Example: Aeroxiana's Mobile Launch Facility

3. Every empire must have a main base, following the same format as above. Example: Aeroxiana's Main Base

4. You must destroy every command base of a nation to officially take down the empire.

5. You must take a picture/video of the destruction of a targeted vehicle to confirm it, otherwise it would be labeled as unconfirmed. If confirmed, that destroyed vehicle must be terminated to match with everyone else's world.

6. Hyperedit is used only for special instances where someone screwed up your orbit or base location. (Someone tell me if there is vehicle locking to prevent such incidents...)

You should totally add BD Armory to that. It's a weapon mod that plays nice with most parts and doesn't add anything extra besides the weapons, unlike Romfarer's Lazor System or things like that. Stock missiles are amusing but can get old fast IMO.

And of course, I might actually get DMP and join the server if you added KSPI to it as well, because giant nuclear-powered warships are amazing. But yeah, I can understand that might get a little out of hand with people tossing antimatter bottles at each other and running un-safeguarded DT Vista engines to kill everyone else's kerbals with radiation, and that everyone might not want to have to figure out how to run nuclear reactors in order to compete.

DMP currently doesn't handle weapons mods well - as the firing is not synced, and I don't allow players to update other players crafts (except during a docking), the only thing weapon mods will currently do is create debris duplicates. This problem won't be so bad in 0.1.5.3 when I auto-remove parts that snap off controlled vessels and only let the controlling player sync the debris to the server.

Perhaps in the future (0.1.6?) I could enable some type of "battle mode" where players *can* update other players crafts, but I haven't really thought about it too much as I'm generally a co-op player :P

I'd expect RCS/SRB missiles to mostly work though...

I know, but still. It is fun to try! Also, great work on the mod so far. I love how it isn't lagging when I am near a player. However, I wish for all crafts to be in sync so if someone crashes into you, both you and the person crashing would explode. It would be more fun that way, and would allow a true war to wage on.

Edit: By that , I mean that in the next update there should be capability for destroying other players' crafts (can be disabled through server options file, perhaps).

I like your idea, but im really against mods such as B9 and other massive ram-hogs especially in DMP.

DMP alone already uses up way too much memory.....and while more mode opens up more options, i think that until the lag (perhaps 1.0 will fix this issue) and bugs in the game are made to the point that we can play on a server and not lag/memleak to crashes, im not gonna be able to use mods in DMP.

BDArmory would be the only mod id say should be mandatory (as well its is a combat server), but stuff like B9, and Kerbinside add unnecessary memory issues. The others are ok imo (excpet i myself would disable remotetech as i dont like forced control lag for probes), but B9 and Kerbinside are no way going to work without alot of lagfest.

Techiastronamo, sorry but I've removed the download link to your package, there are mods in there that do not include the license, some do not permit redistribution, and you have not made an explicit license for the download. Better to just have people get them from the respective threads.
