More Flexibility In Behemoths Of Ships

Since i enjoy taking my time and making ships from games like halo but to get a huge forward unto dawn in space it'd be impossible without hyperedit or space construction mods or just endless docking.

So i'd like to see more flexibility and options for getting those ships into space, what are we suppose to do when covenant invades kerbin lol?

Stock KSP is based on real-world spaceflight technologies, and mostly 60's and 70's stuff at that. It's no surprise that lofting ginormous things into orbit isn't always easy. Although if you don't mind cheating then hack gravity and infinite fuel are big helps.

Sandbox mode.

Even with FAR and DR installed, you can get virtually anything into orbit if cost is not a factor. Moar boosters.

The part counts aren't that much of an issue when you can spam the largest parts around. SLS-scale asparagus launchers can lift an absurd amount of tonnage.

Okay, i see your points but it'd be cool to have a fantasy/futuristic mode that has more futuristic things that can lift everything it'd be a cool sandbox remake, and it'd help crafts like my forward unto dawn im going to start working on today or tomorrow.

Consider the Alt-F12 gravity hack to be a futuristic gravity manipulation technology. Any type of propulsion that could lift such masses into orbit would make lifting more normal payloads trivial.

Leave future sci-fi tech for either 1)mods or 2)a future official expansion that would use the same engine to build a radically different experience.

Vanilla KSP should remain a game teaching that science is not as easy at it seems, and that going into space is actually a huge deal. It's actually almost an educational tool rather than a game.

I don't want this changed. I can understand it would be fun to do crazier things with the engine, but please don't put that in the official main game.
