Huge lags wihle looking at planets/moons

Hello everyone! Bought my new computers few days ago, its simply amazing , however, when I run KSP and looking on the surface (from orbit or from the ground) in any planet, (except Gilly) my fps dropping to like 5 , is it anything about my new comuter? (Il add the parts of it) its happening in the mun too and planets without seas, I tried reducing the options of planets in the settings config, it still didnt help at all...

system info:

ksp 0.24.2

win 8.1 64 bit

my computer parts:

ram: 16gb

gpu: nVidia GeForce GTX 860M (4GB GDDR5)

cpu: Core i7-4710HQ (2.50 GHz, 6 MB L3 Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)

*this happening with or without mods, its really taking the game fun away...

I think it's something to do with the water. I think there's a mod to reduce the lag. I'll try find it.

This has been bugging me since I started playing with the demo. I hope it gets fixed soon.

thats not about the water, since its happening in all planets...

This is a LIFESAVER!!! I didn't see that it was for windows, and i used your cfg on ubuntu ksp 1.0.2 64-bit, and it worked!! It turns out it might work for all OS.
