It\'s the Northville High production of Hairspray.

I play trumpet, and I\'m one of two players on the (one) part, because it\'s a bit of a rough show to play for one. We just got the books (literally books) today, and the production\'s set to run from April 19-21.

I get to learn 90 pages of music inside of 2 weeks, so that we can back the cast at rehearsals.

Oh, this will be fun.

Oh, and there are some fun key signatures, too. Think, 5 and 6 sharps or flats, often alternating several times within a tune. This will be very fun.

Be prepared for massive amounts of awesome. Great musical, lots of fun. But yeah, the musicians have to work ridiculously hard.

Sounds like when my high school did Oliver. It was a ton of fun once we got the music Into a recognizable state though.
