Drop-pod based rapid outpost deploymemt

Ok before anyone shoots me down by saying that a mod like this exists (you will probably think that i am asking for MKS or HOME but i'm not) you will have to read this completely...

the idea basically is to have a singular pod that can go down to a planet/moon, land and be able to throw together a quick outpost that is more or less temporary (unless given certain equipment). It would land, pop open doors (not figuratively!), and then using Kas deploy some make shift equipment such as science equipment, generators and maybe some portable drills. I was originally going to approach RoverDude with this idea but i did not after remembering the load of stuff on his plate. it won't require too many parts but would require doing some animations...

ok it would have 6 main parts:

1. a heat shield that may or may not contain fuel for thrusters

2. thrusters for landing

3. a hollow cabin that can hold kerbals inside on external command seats (adds to the fun also look here for inspiration)

4. an inflatable cabin on the top of the hollow cabin to hold extra crew if more are dropped in, possibly to deliver a rover (this is why i wanted to ask RoverDude due to his experience in this area)

5. doors that actually blow off through decoupling, maybe even self destruct through abuse of solid fuel

6. landing legs for obvious reasons

i am pretty sure space will be made for KAS containers or just have the stuff stored in the cabin

if anyone has any ideas to improve or change this please post below, please read the whole thing before jumping the gun

damn it precognitive abilities, why must you ruin things for me RAHH, i'm not kidding this is not the first time.

but one question will it have a hollow cabin( i just like the idea) or is just an extension to MKS because i unfortunately don't use TAC as i have had to abandon many things to make use of 64-bit which has already been more trouble then it should be...

MKS lost it's TAC hard-link ages ago ;) And actually I'm busy at work making all of the mods in the constellation relatively independent.

hmm ok although you didn't answer the question about it being an extension to MKS.... or the hollow cabin thing either
