A current hidden feature .24.2??

So Bob's returning from high above the sun with a science load, and we happened to look out the Mk1 command pod window and see a nice conjunction of Kerbin and Mun. I remember Mr. Manley saying you can zoom way in from the window view so I double left clicked the command pod window, realized my mistake and right clicked to zoom. I then noticed I could see Minmus as well. (top of image)

Then I found I could rotate the camera all the way around and look a Kerbal in the eye!?

I'm sure you've always been able to "get out of your seat," but the bit where you can look all the way back the Kerbal is puzzling me. It could be a bug, it could be a hidden feature.

I have a few of these tucked into the Kerdoz command pod. Any internal space collider can be set to be a camera transform, and you can pan around to get a look at the entire interior.
