Least Delta-V To Space (pm me if this has already been done)

Basically, a challenge I just came up with to accompany the "Fastest Mission to Space and Back" challenge. Basically, get to 70,000m in the least amount of delta-v possible.

RULES:

1. No cheating.

2. Stock only.

3. Pics or it didn't happen.

Here's my entry:

ONE SRB, a SAS unit, and a chair, to interplanetary space, made just after 0.21 came out.

I don't think this is a viable challenge, as the minimum amount of D/V to get into orbit is fixed. How about a minimum part count challenge?

Serioulsy. We should "get to 70.000 meters" not to the orbit?

Also, it can be interesting to see how much delta-v will be ACTUALLY used. Not an assumption, but the real numbers.

Probably we will get interesting ascent profiles or solutions...

But this is only in case the challenge itself gets fixed.

70 km in least delta-v is different question. However, it is more of the question of optimal movement through the stock soupmosphere, without spending too much on drag and too much on gravity fight.

Anyway, seems interesting. (Am actually going to take part in it)

However, a question: Can we use KER pretty please to count delta-v, or we should make it manually?

Sea-level delta-V, vacuum delta-V, or actual expenditure? And if the third, do you know a way to record it?

^^ MechJeb has record widgets with expended, drag, gravity loss and steer loss dv, make a panel with those and you'll see it.

Your craft as shown has 3526m/s of atmo dV or 3833m/s of vacuum dV. You spent somewhere between those values in your attempt.

What is the Delta-V of your ship? If you can't tell us what the Delta-V is, you certainly can't claim to have the least.
