This shuttle launched is incapable of a safe reentry. The kerbals aboard were rescued. Jeb being the last one out points her retrograde, hammers the throttle and bails. I decided to record the crafts fate. Its like.. dozens of fireflies glowing in the night.

I'm not sure I was curious about that too. I guess it's just the speed and the shape of.. whats left of the craft factored in. I'd have to look again, but I think I was well over terminal velocity when the cockpit hit the water.
