Welcome to Mars, MAVEN!

This is my first attempt at animating anything in two years... but I think you'll like it.

(No, it's not supposed to be good animation.)

Introducing... What Really Happened to MAVEN!

Grab some popcorn, everyone.

This animation was done entirely in "Movie Studio Platinum 12," also known as Dumbed-Down Sony Vegas. I hand-drew all of the pictures myself, except for those of Mars, which I pulled off the NASA web site and Wikipedia. The sound effects were mostly either me, stock KSP, or from SoundCloud. This took about seven hours to complete, not counting breaks for meals and sleeping. I literally just finished it. I'm going to sleep now. Let me know what you think, and see you in the morning! :)

Beep.

By the way, here are some things that you may not have noticed about the animation:

>Not only is our intrepid Kerbal (I think he would probably be Bill in "real" KSP) taped onto MAVEN, but he is held in place with "Space Tape." Yes, I went to the trouble of labelling the stuff.

>The orbital insertion burn was a little short in the video, but that's just because I didn't want to have a thirty-minute-long shot of MAVEN slowly firing away at the thrusters.

>I was originally going to have Bill screaming as MAVEN deorbited, but I don't have adequate lung capacity to scream at the top of my lungs for ~8 seconds.

>Believe it or not, I did the "Beep" sound effects myself. I know. They're so realistic, right?

Traditional stop motion is a pain. I'm not entirely sure if I'll ever do it again. But hey, this project seemed to turn out alright. :)
