Mk1-2 Command Pod and Mk2 Fuel Tanks.

Recommended Posts

The fact that the Mk2 Fuselage carries less fuel than the Mk1 makes no sense to me. (120 LF versus 150 LF)

Now, that's probably going to be fixed in 0.25, but it is annoying. (I literally just had the idea to edit the config )

The other thing:

Why are the thrusters on the texture mismatched? (I think they are, forgive me if I'm mistaken.) Shouldn't there be 2 thrusters going in one direction and two in the other, rather than 3 and 1?

Just pointing this out to whomever it may concern.

I never noticed the mismatched thrusters on that command pod, but have always been annoyed with the location of the hatch and ladder. To link then to the science or hitchhiker modules several of the small ladder segments cocked at odd angles.

I agree about the location of the hatch door. However, you can slightly rotate either the command pod or the hitchhiker module so that the ladders line up. SHIFT+Q or E

Still annoying though...

I know, but if you rotate the command pod to line up it also rotates the controls, making it harder to control properly. If you rotate the other modules you can forget about some of the symmetry options for some of the stuff attached, because it'll either block the ladder on the lower module or be so close to the ladder that you Kerbal's helmet hits the attached part preventing you from moving on the ladder.

I agree about the location of the hatch door.

And I'll disagree, it's the science module and hitchhiker that should change. Optimal RCS placement pretty much mandates placing them inline with right where you want to move the hatch to, which causes two problems. One is that running ladders through RCS quads just looks wrong. The other is that it increases the chances of obstructing hatches since it places the hatches and the RCS quads on the same vertical line.
