Just wondering why the left and right RCS thrusters are not aligned in the center of the thruster block on the Apollo CSM.

Just a guess, but it looks like it may be a little too tight in there, so they had to be moved slightly away from each other.

All of the APollo CSM thruster blocks I've seen have that feature. As for why, I haven't a clue. My best guess is that such a placement would allow for very precise orientation adjustment.
