EVE is just eye candy. It does not affect gameplay in any way.

RSS will not change your craft or contracts, but your crafts may not be capable of getting to orbit anymore. The planet is bigger an the atmosphere is higher.

Although, in some EVE 'packs' (I.e. BetterAtmospheres) they use RSS to remove the white atmospheric horizontal line on planets and moons with atmospheres, but the planets and moons stay the same size.

Ah, well I didn't know that. I don't use BA because it has so many blasted dependencies, I prefer Astronomers Visual Pack, which is also more realistic (fog on the Mun with no atmosphere, really?).
