Can the hype stickies not appear on the front page of the forum please?

It seems if you look at the front page of the forum that there is only ever one thing discussed in `ksp discussion` and that is HYPE!

Can I ask that these `busy non threads` don`t appear on the front page so we get a chance of seeing other threads?

Obviously we need these threads so that all the hype gets contained into one place but it pushes every other thread off the front page all the time.

It`s getting a bit boring now.

Agreed. Since the hype threads pretty much amount to nothing but image macros and discussions about what vehicle exemplifies hype the most, these threads should be relegated to the Forum Games forum.

I don't see the harm in one thread for the hype stuff. Keeps it contained and only bumps one thread. There do seem to be new threads spawning all the time about it but the mods are reasonably good about merging them. I like how this release there is a hype thread separate from the more serious 0.25 Discussion thread though, keeps the signal:noise ratio in the discussion thread higher.

Hopefully it'll be over tonight anyway.

Yes. These discussions have very little to do with KSP. I think they should all be kept in "Other forums"

There's already a suggestion forum for those who want to seriously discuss KSP development.

I completely agree that we need a hype thread to keep it all contained, what I would like is for that thread to stay off the front page so other threads get a chance.

My thought is that General KSP Discussion is the proper place for it as it is discussion about excitement for the next KSP update. It is (hopefully) just one thread, and having that one thread in general discussion likely prevents some from spawning. Is it really a big deal that one thread gets bumped to page two?

Don't worry, no one will take this suggestion seriously anyway. "Hype" is an institution around here.

We try to keep it all in one thread for the exact same reason: preventing dozens of threads spawn on one subject. For the same reason we have the "Grand Discussion" thread after release, too. Not sure what you mean with those threads being removed from the front page.

there's the .25 discussion thread(which belongs in Gen disc. but has fallen to page two ), and there's the HYPE THREAD (that often discusses they hype itself, not the update) and really has a more gamey feel to it.

I mean when you arrive at the main page of the forum you are presented with all the forums and the thread that had the most recent post in each.

It`s always the hype thread in KSP discussion. It`s getting boring and defeats the point of showing the thread that has the most recent post.

I`m not talking about changing anything in the KSP Discussion forum, I don`t want to get rid of the hype thread or the 0.25 discussion thread, just which thread is the one shown on the Kerbal Space Program Forum (main page)

We need the hype thread, the waiting room and the post update discussion and I`m not talking about moving them but they block out EVERY other thread if you just scan the main page of the forum.

Ah yes, we can't exclude certain threads from appearing as the latest replied to threads though. There's always the "Today's posts" and "What's new" options in the navigation bar I suppose.

How odd. The link you posted has a post by SQUAD that just says `CHOO CHOO` and has a picture of a train.

Has the train gotten to the station?
