USSR "Vulcan" Lunar mission (updated for 0.90!)

Hello everyone!

Some time ago I've founded some interesting project of soviet mission to the Moon with "Vulcan" launcher.

This mission requires two launches: the first one (3 kerbals) - Lunar Orbital Ship (LOS), the second one (unkerballed) - Lunar Landing Ship (LLS). When two ships mission are docked, space tug send them to the Muna. After reaching the orbit, two kerballs go to LLS and go to the Muna's surface. When it's time to go home, orbital mudule separates from landing module, go to orbit, docks with LOS. Then crew goes to LOS from LLS and return to kerbin

Nesting rockets, so that the lander can handle large slopes without tipping over. They were studied as a part of the LK from the N1-L3 complex.

Absolutely true, these rockets don't allow the lander to bounce from a surface and turn over

Hum. The name refers to the launcher, and by "Volcano" you mean "Vulcan" right? Because otherwise I have to resfresh on my Soviet space program, 'cause I never heard of it. If it is a Vulcan (Energia core + 8x Zenith boosters), however, then it looks quite like the thing, only those Zeniths are supposed to land under parachutes!

Yes, you're right - I mean "Vulcan" (Volcano.. Vulcan.. Difficulties of the translation, hah).

About boosters.. I tried to make them with parachutes, but they moved boosters to core, so everything collapsed everytime I separate them

Well, after long-long time of doing...nothing I've finally added chutes on Zenith boosters. Also launchers were updated for 0.90! xD
