Decouplers not separating

Recommended Posts

Pawelk198604,

Please provide some pictures. Typically this problem is caused either by an inverted decoupler, or one that has been attached too far up the connection node, where it's attached the correct direction, but the bottom node of the decoupler gets connected instead of the top. It can still look normal in the second case, so perhaps check that connection. Otherwise we will need some pictures or a .craft file.

Cheers,

~Claw

It looks like your decouplers are mounted upside-down. The arrow should be pointing up to do what you're looking for them to do.

But did two launches once pointing arrow up once down and result is the same

EDIT: That's my crafts file

If you haven't solved it yet. If you look at these images you'll see the problem.

You see the decoupler has two nodes and there are two tanks in the same position.

If you look closely in this pic you see that the right one is higher up. The decouplers bottom node grabbed the storage instead of the top one. this prevents the decoupler from detaching.

Hope this helped.

EDIT: Hang on...

The first decoupler is attached with the bottom node to the node of the engine.

EDIT2: Talking about "Test Craft 2"
