I'm seeingt it now. The Earth's shadow has cast over nearly 50% of the Moon.

Saw it as well. For the first time I can remember, it's not cloudy during a celestial event. Can't get any good pictures though, hard to focus on the moon when it's so dim, and my camera's manual focus for some reason doesn't stop at infinity - it can focus beyond infinity, so manual focus is hard too.

An amazing 8pm show we had here in cairns. Not a cloud in the sky. Huge moon low on the horizon and to top it up, right in view from my balcony. The best total Lunar eclipse I ever saw

I did take a pic on my crappy camera. Nothing like what it really looked like heh heh. And I forgot to say I had no idea there was going to be an eclipse until about an hour earlier when I heard it on the tv...

Slightly off topic, I remember a solar eclipse (Moon blocks sun, right?) in Turkey, it was weird how it went dark and got quite chilly. We had to wear glasses with foil stuff as filters.

hmm i saw it too although it was at 6:00 am so it wasn't exactly seeing but more or less squinting

Light clouds/fog here. Light enough to see where the Moon was, but too thick actually see it.
